How do we protect our home from Water Intrusion?

First you should have your house tested to make sure your house is free from moisture and possible mold buildup. Connolly Stucco & Plastering, Inc. can provide this testing. If no remediation is needed, we would then recommend having your house sealed and caulked to protect your investment.

There are 3 types of sealers we install:

  1. The fist is a clear sealer that is recommended when you are just concerned with making sure you keep the water out. This is a breathable sealer so it doesn’t trap moisture.
  2. The second product is recommended when you want to get rid of any florescence or staining in your stucco and you can change the color. This product keeps the natural look of the stucco and at the same time protects and keeps water out.
  3. The third product is recommended when a stucco house has a lot of cracks. This product is a Alasticmeric acrylic base which will also breath and keep moisture out. All 3 sealers come with a Warranty.
Our home has cracks does that mean we have leaks?
The answer is No! Stucco is a cement product in which cracking is normal. Usually caused by settling, some cracks can get large and unsightly but they are fixable.
Does a smooth finish wall crack more than that of a textured wall?
The answer is No! However a smoother surface shows you flaws that cannot hide or be hidden with a rougher surface.
Can the lower part of your homes stucco at the foundations be repaired?
Yes, we have a process that we demo your old deteriorated stucco and screed and replace it with new flashing and lath. We then install new coats of plaster and stucco.
If we replace stucco around our windows or doors will it separate showing an unsightly cracked appearance?

No, that is a result of poor workmanship and you should only have a licensed quality plastering contractor install your lath & plaster to insure the end result.
